Bad endings leave a bad taste. You do not want that “taste” to linger on in your audience when they read your piece — your content. What you want is a conclusion that is natural, satisfying, and one that works to get your intended results.
Here’s how to do it:
- Your lead should “lead” to your conclusion. Every point has to guide your reader easily to the next one.
- Create more than one example to prove your point. This should allow you to justify your conclusion.
- Revise until it all works. Content creation is a process that may require revision after revision. The right revisions will entail cutting out the fat, eliminating the jargon and the lingo. Take out any section that takes away from your conclusion.
- End it with the right words. Once you get to your final point, leave your reader with a solid call to action, and final thoughts that will him or her think about your brand long after the piece has been consumed.
