Most writers tend to create articles just for the sake of search engine. Not only would this be considered a clutter, it doesn’t really help increase value of your site. Before publishing a post, here are some tips that you need to do to make sure your content is valuable to your readers.
1. Inspire readers with a good introduction – a good headline can capture and motivate readers to continue reading your article. Make your first line a shocker to catch attention. A good start is to tell something about you.
2. Getting personal – an informative article sure packs a lot of important information however, if it is not enjoyable to read, readers would eventually just skim the whole content missing the important parts. A good way to keep readers interested is to relate your own experience when sharing information.
3. Making your content valuable – always keep your articles useful to your audience. Pay attention to emails, queries, and surveys to know what your readers want. If you are having a hard time looking for a topic for your audience, you can do a keyword research using Google’s keyword planner.
4. Lengthy articles – research show that articles with more than 2,000 words are more likely to rank higher in search results pages.
5. Use of keywords – use keywords in context and avoid placing keywords just for the sake of search engines. Semantically related keywords will make your article searchable.
