If you generate a high volume of breaking content (like live blogs, news updates and videos), then making sure they reach your audience fresh and fast is a must. Google’s pilot project, the new Search live coverage carousel, might just help you do that.
Search live coverage carousel, according to Google, makes it possible to “surface content more quickly than is currently possible with a standard crawl on your website.” This way, your audience are able to discover your breaking content once it’s available on your site.

StatCounter has also revealed that Google commands about 94% of the mobile market share.
By assuming (from these figures) that 55% of queries made on Google are mobile-based, it has been estimated that Google’s latest query distribution stands at 15.2 billion on desktop and 18.7 billion on mobile.
The conclusion? PC search volumes may be experiencing a downward slump, but Google is enjoying a hefty increase in overall searches thanks to its dominance over mobile searches. Worldwide, the search engine giant processes over two trillion search queries every year.
