Google AdWords, the search engine giant’s top cash cow, enables millions of businesses worldwide to manage keyword driven advertising campaigns. Recently, it went through a long-overdue facelift (which incorporates a language called Material Design) that has created the following interesting changes:
- Clean, graphical insights are now prioritized over lists of numbers and texts.
- Overviews — the name for the new series of graphs users will find upon signing in — presents averages of all the AdWords campaign they are running, a chart on the performance of AdWords on each campaign, and another bar chart displaying the campaigns’ performance across phones, tablets and desktops.
- When users click on individual campaigns, they’ll see graphs presenting insights that were previously buried inside AdWords statistics.
- Overall, the AdWords platform becomes a lot more user-friendly — for the benefit of small and large businesses alike.
