With the majority of brands out there that are finding it difficult to create content that will get their customers to want to read it and also share to other people, there are actually a few main reasons why your customers don’t care about the content you put up on your website:
You are NOT familiar with your audience
– Define clearly who your target audience is
– Find out what kind of problems your customers are having and use your content to offer them solutions
– You have to know how to effectively communicate with your audience
You are promoting yourself TOO MUCH
– Determine the fine line between being overly promotional or being proud of your brand and endlessly boasting about it
– Keep a certain level of objectivity by making use of quotes and studies from other brands, or by leveraging unbiased content from real users
– Keep your promotional messages subtle and back them up with useful and valuable content
You DO NOT create powerful headlines and call to action
– Make use of ‘power words’ that will encourage your viewers to engage with your headlines
– Try using list posts with odd numbers as these are shared twice as often and are read more often by viewers than other types of content
– Make sure you put enough words on your headline to draw the attention of your viewers and relay to them your message without being loquacious
