New Mobile Page Speed Benchmarks Revealed
New analysis from Google revealed the following data that can guide businesses and marketers in creating “fast, frictionless experiences” for their mobile consumers.
– Average full loading time for a mobile page is 22 seconds.
– However, 53% of mobile visitors leave when a page takes more than 3 seconds to load.
– Mobile users account for over 50% of overall traffic. But desktop conversion rates are still higher than mobile. “In short, speed equals revenue,” says Google.
– 70% of pages have content above the fold that take 7 seconds to display onscreen.
– The probability of mobile bounce rate spikes to 113% as page load time goes from 1 to 7 seconds.
– The higher the number of elements (400 to 6,000 images, text, etc.), the lower the conversion rate.
– 70% of mobile pages today are over 1MB. It will take 7 seconds, using a fast 3G connection, for a 1.49MB page to load.

Ahrefs Shares Blogger Outreach Best Practices
Ahrefs head of marketing Tim Soulo in a post shared actionable tips on doing blogger outreach “to promote our new content and build juicy backlinks that help us rank higher in Google.”
Some quick takeaways from the comprehensive post include the following:
– Starts blogger outreach with the question: “What’s in it for them?”
– Vet your outreach prospects to identify whether you can offer unique, valuable content in the context of their site.
– Establish a system so you “don’t bug the same people too often” or make your prospects feel bombarded with your requests.
– use ahrefs Content Explorer to efficiently go through and manage your outreach prospects and their backlink data and history with you.
– Use Google Alerts and ahrefs’ web alerts functionality to keep track of new content about your niche and identify new opportunities.
– Be sensitive and aware. In some niches, it’s not a good idea to directly ask for links.
