Today, there is a better way to achieve success in sales and it’s called social selling. This strategy focuses on engaging with your prospect directly, on their terms, and then positioning yourself as someone of value and one who can help them. Only social sellers stand a good of chance of building their personal brand, successfully connecting with more prospects and using technology to close deals faster.
Below are some tips that will help you achieve social selling mastery on LinkedIn:
- Build your brand – This means completing your personal profile on LinkedIn. Don’t forget to place a photo on your profile as well.
- Create your network – Build connections on a regular basis. Connect with and follow your peers, co-workers, current and past clients. They are your valuable connections who can endorse your abilities, make referrals and share some significant information.
- Interact with others – Increase your overall activity on the network. Like posts that you read, comment on posts and share informative articles, blog posts and other media directly with your connections. Be an information concierge, curating and sharing relevant information, instead of going for a hard sell or consistently boasting.
- Qualify your leads – Finally, gather intelligence and get a hold of new leads. To make sure you are above the competition, constantly research, organize and mine user-generated content to learn more about the clients you regularly sell to and will potentially sell to.
